Beginnings

In 2015  4 vintage race boat drivers, builders, mechanics and fans in Madison IN decided something had to be done to keep the history of boat racing from fading away. Dave Johnson, Rob Holt, Paige Taff and Nick Lobdell formed 5 To The 5 Vintage Hydros INC as a NON profit organization to educate the public on a fading portion of America’s motorsport history. 

From 2015 until January 2021 5 To The 5 Vintage Hydros INC operated as a project committee under the umbrella of Historic Hoosier Hills, a 501(c) 3 organization  located in Versailles IN. 

In 2020 5 To The 5 Vintage Hydros INC decided to become fully independant and in early 2021 assumed the business name of National Boat Racing Heritage Center and filed for 501(c)3 status with the IRS. 5 To The 5 Vintage Hydros INC is now the National Boat Racing Heritage Center.
